    Begging you is a good song if you don't have to listen to it more than a couple times, as someone who listens to it a lot, it's like listening to Lane Staley trying to sing that song by mick Jaggers son

    The Tate McRae prediction seems pretty accurate. A couple of newer songs this past month that aren’t terrible, and sound nothing like Billie Eilish. Good job Todd 👍🏻

    On Tate McRae, it feels like even her voice is trying to imitate Billie's, like the slight slur on happen and the way she pronounces things. Maybe that's just her voice??? It seems SO specific though

    I love it how these chucklef*cks keep saying that if people don't like how things used to be, then there's the door. Yeah, there's the door. You can go through it just as easily; I'll help you to pack.

    Unironically thank you for introducing me to 'fancy like' just now. I know this is your 'top ten WORST' list, but i really like the musicality of the song and the lyrics are pleasent to sing, if one disregards the meaning a bit (which is easy to do given i'm listening way more to the backing track than anything else). Just a nice vibin song, like a lot of low-country shit. It's good

    {Long-ish comment warning}

    I enjoyed You Broke Me First personally because it came across as something different from other break up songs. Most are sad, angry, or about getting petty revenge. This just sounded like broken exhaustion to me.

    Like "when sh!t doesn't go your way you needed me to fix it" just hits like a person who had this crappy ex they did everything for, and it still wasn't enough for that ex to stay committed to them, yet somehow they have the audacity to come crawling back asking for another chance because they miss having someone who'd put up with their bs. It's exhaustion and frustration, someone who is just so done with their previous partner they don't care about cutting them down, only staying the obvious "you broke me first" so wtf do you want/expect from me.

    Even without Tate herself having gone through anything like that, I resonated with the lyrics and ended up enjoying it, especially with my last crappy relationship that was a lot like I previously described. It might be cringe to some people but idk dude I just thought it was pretty good. Not a banger or anything, but okay enough for the point I took from it.

    I loved Glass Animals when I was younger and adored when the new album came out, but holy fuck I was not prepared for the song that I thought was kinda mid to blow up to the point where my cousin's Florida Horizon game was playing it on the radio. I gained a wonderful strong hatred for it. Loved seeing it on the worst list.

    i genuinely can't stand anything about luis capaldis music….. just crying whining wailing….. sad heartbreaking belting notes and it makes me wanna throw him out of a window so he can never sing another song. sad whiney lyrics and it all sounds the same.

    i always have been a big fan of glass animals – long before heat waves got murdered on the radio. i still love the song, and they have way better stuff than heat waves for sure. but the overplay definitely kills any song for me. although i do like some songs, Dream land wasn't their best album for me. every song is just sad whiney annoying crap

    I do like Animal by Maroon 5 bit that's mainly because I really like the rhythm to it. Might be because it was one of the first songs from them I heard and ounce you hear one maroon 5 song you've heard them all

    Watching this nearly three years later, I realized I had forgotten the name of and content of the singer of number one. I just internalized him as the "screaming wtf at his TV" guy and forgot what he was screaming and crying and throwing up about. Weird legacy to want to leave, tbh.

    funnily enough, these songs and others like them are great for trying to stay awake and alert while driving, especially at night. you don't get too into them because they suck, but they're popular enough that you can sort of follow along to the lyrics. just the right amount of annoying that you don't get distracted by them and dull enough that makes great white noise.

    It's he serious about the peaches thing in the Justin Bieber song? I can't tell if he was being ironic or if just doesn't know the expression Georgia Peach…we aren't talking about fruit

    Heat Waves should never have existed. I will always hate McDonalds for shoving that fucking abomination down my ears every single night I worked. I don't want to listen to music that makes me want to commit sudoku at fucking WORK.

    If you want to hear a good country take on "Fancy Like", try "Good Lovin'" by Jess Moskaluke. She's not super well-known but I do like her stuff, considering I don't even listen to country anymore.
